Audiences experience the delight of spontaneous theatre while learning about the history and contributions of this courageous, playful, and imaginative art form. Improv acting exercises and games unleash creativity, adapting focused "play" to unlock the individual's capacity for self-expression. Students will learn how "yes, and,” a core agreement to improvisation, requires positive collaboration. The program addresses themes of friendship, conflict resolution and sharing, and includes interactive aspects where students are encouraged to make creative choices that enable them to name and express feelings, build on one another’s ideas, and work together as a team.
