Residency Program

Opera Cultura's residency program is based on the bilingual children's opera Coyotes and Rabbits. The program introduces students to opera and emphasizes the importance of literacy. Students learn basic music concepts and practice singing by learning the choral piece from Coyotes and Rabbits. About Coyotes and Rabbits/ Los Coyotes y Las Conejas "READING IS A MAGICAL THING"-Two mischievous but well-intentioned rabbits, Chiquita and Banana, teach the young coyote Scrawny an important lesson. After a series of misadventures involving the rabbits and his ignorant and prideful cousin Loco, Scrawny realizes that education is the key to a fruitful life
