Call for Board Members
Young Audiences of Northern California is currently seeking creative, committed and passionate individuals to join its Board of Directors to support our mission of providing arts experiences that inpsire young people, expand learning, and enliven communities.
We are actively looking for board members with backgrounds in:
- Law
- Finance
- Fundraising
- Technology
- Strategic Planning
- Marketing, Public Relations & Communication
- Connections to Bay Area schools & education
- Organizational development, Human Resources
- Non-profit programming
- Previous Board experience not required.
Board Terms & Participation: The Board of Directors meets every other month from 6pm to 7:30pm (typically Wednesdays). Serving on the Young Audiences Board of Directors is a volunteer position without renumeration. Board members serve a 3-year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms. All board members are asked to help fundraise and to give a significant gift to Young Audiences each year.

Since 1958, Young Audiences of Northern California has worked with schools and communities to bring engaging arts programs to underserved Bay Area students. Our ability to do this hinges on having diverse and talented board members, staff, and partners leading the charge.
