From our desks at home...

Our team is all safe and working from home. Because we are a small and efficient staff of four, there is no indication that we will have any staffing adjustments in the foreseeable future. We continue to focus on team check-ins and are involved in many zoom meetings with partners, attending webinars and mining other professional resources in order to stay as up-to-date as possible while working remotely.

Once the initial stress and adapting to new work routines stabilized, we have remained focused on serving our artist, student and school communities while creating strategies that can and will deliver our mission of creating art experiences that inspire young people in the very near future.

What we are doing & what we plan to do

  1. Committed to paying teaching artists for all residency and workshop services contracted through March 31st.
  2. Launched an Emergency Teaching Artist Fund to help artists continue to receive pay through the month of April. 100% of these funds will be distributed to teaching artists.
  3. Creating a list of resources and services that assist our broader Young Audiences of Northern California family and friends. A variety of our roster artists are providing virtual programs and activities that can be shared with you, our school partners, parents, and students learning from home.
  4. Devising innovative programs to keep modest funds flowing to our teaching artists and respond to remote/digital learning needs of schools and community partners.
