Rainbow Pride School Assembly

Artist: CHEER SF
Type: Assembly
Art Form: Dance
Scheduling Request

Cheer SF's Rainbow Pride program includes lessons on Harvey Milk, the history of the Pride flag, and the meaning of each of its colors. Vibrant flags, interactive engagement, high-flying stunts, dances, and cheers encourage students to participate in a meaningful way and celebrate LGBTQ+ history. Both schools and students benefit from the experience of openly celebrating their individuality. At the end of the assembly, our "Wheel of Fun" is used to reinforce how we can "Remember" history and "Represent" the LGBTQ+ community.

For every hand raised and question answered, students get to spin the "Wheel of Fun", and the cheerleaders will perform whatever stunt or action the wheel lands on. This assembly is highly recommended for schools that currently foster a loving, supportive LGBTQ+ environment.

Students learn simple, positive, and engaging delivery of Cheer SF's messages with signs and hand gestures, leading the students to interact and respond. Quick Q&A to gauge comprehension and reinforce the content, spin-the-wheel style on-demand demo of acrobatic cheerleading tricks and energetic dances (as space permits, with safety as a #1 priority). Spins can be a reward for answering Q&A questions, or be determined according to school recommendations. Optional photos with the team.

Cheer SF gets kids on their feet to move their bodies and learn a few simple cheers! Recommended for K-8th
