Ocean Art Odyssey

After students are introduced to a Polynesian story about the Pacific Ocean, they will create "woven" collage fish. This project encourages exploration of color theory, art technique and media through individually-created fish inspired by Hawaiian lauhala basket weaving. (This workshop can be extended to include a temporary undersea mural for display in the classroom or school.)
